Blown Film Process: The first step in plastic bag production is the blown film process. Plastic resins, usually polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), are melted in an extruder at high temperatures and then extruded through a circular die to form a molten plastic tube. As the tube cools down, it solidifies into a thin film. The thickness of the film can be adjusted by controlling the speed of the extrusion process.
Printing Process: After the film is formed, it enters the printing process. Printing is an important step as it allows for customization of branding, logos, or labels. The original film passes through a printing press, which uses various techniques such as flexo or gravure to transfer ink to the film. Colors and designs are carefully selected to meet the desired aesthetic and functional requirements.
Cutting Process
Machine Cutting: Special cutting machines are used to cut the printed film into individual bags. The machine can be set up to cut films of various shapes, such as flat bags, buckle bags, or T-shirt bags, and can also install zippers and other accessories at the same time. During the cutting process, the excess film is trimmed and the bags are neatly stacked for further handling.
Manual Cutting2: For small-batch or special needs, manual cutting can also be used. When using scissors to cut, make sure the scissors are sharp, hold the bag tightly with one hand, and insert the blade of the scissors into the bag and cut along the desired cutting line with a steady force. When using a knife, place the bag on a flat surface, hold the bag tightly with one hand, and gently cut the edge of the bag or the position to be cut with the other hand. If using a hot knife, heat the hot knife to the appropriate temperature first, then hold the bag tightly with one hand and slowly slide the blade of the hot knife along the edge of the bag or the position to be cut.
Sealing and Quality Inspection Process: After cutting, the edges of the bags are heat-sealed to form a sealed bag. Finally, the finished bags undergo strict quality inspection to ensure that each bag meets the standards, including size, thickness, printing quality, and sealing strength.
